The predominant amount of gas fees spent in this crypto winter is on the trading, launching and speculation on shitcoins. This crypto underworld goes on beneath the noses of DeFi maxis and techies everywhere and is fueled by rampant addiction to degeneracy and thrill seeking. On telegram in particular you have hoards of shitcoin group chats, Alpha groups, Private Groups all for the purpose of buying shitcoins at a few thousand dollars market cap and selling them at a few hundred thousand market cap.

Well that’s easy, it powers CULT DAO’s decentralized funding mechanism. It is the lifeblood and fuel of CULT DAO. CULT IS a utility, it is a public good that can be used by anybody to fund, build & scale anything that contributes to decentralization in a transparent, fair way. How simple was that? It is so simple that people almost do not believe it. Every transaction of CULT sends 0.4% of the value of that transaction in CULT, to CULT DAO’s treasury. The treasury extracts CULT this way from the circulating supply, pushing it into a smart contract, that can only release it back into circulation at a maximum and pre determined level. The top 50 stakers are The Guardians, around 15 of which were pre-appointed, these were all trusted Ethereum and decentralization advocates such as David Hoffman, Justin Wu, Guto Martino, Dominic Ryder & Jeremy Guzmán to name a handful. Guardians only have the power to put forward proposals. Their token allocation cannot be used to vote unless they eventually fall outside of the top 50 stakers. On the other side is The Many. These are all stakers outside of the top 50. The Many are who decide which proposals should or should not pass.

CULT is less than 3 months old. What this means is that we are only just past the point where investments have been made. Investments don’t grow overnight, there is a time period between that investment being made, and when the project has made use of it, and now has the returns ready to pay out. Patience is required, something that seems to be thin on the ground these days. Once we are out of this time lag between the first few proposals and the first few rewards, we will begin to see a steady flow of profits (and burns) being delivered. Some proposals directly address this, such as the Inverse Finance proposals, which are being used in a high yield farming pool in order to create a steady farming reward that can be sent back to stakers on a monthly basis. This will be very useful in creating some ongoing reliable rewards while the more sporadic investments deliver at sporadic times.

The competitiveness and thrill seekers of the crypto markets speculators make the need for “MOAR UP” a key driver of token preference and thus volume. This is why CULT DAO is not a charity and is also hyper deflationary. Speculation may bring many people in, but those who care for our revolution will stay and join THE Many.

Your increasingly obsolete information industries would perpetuate themselves by proposing laws, in America and elsewhere, that claim to own speech itself throughout the world. These laws would declare ideas to be another industrial product, no more noble than pig iron. In our world, whatever the human mind may create can be reproduced and distributed infinitely at no cost. The global conveyance of thought no longer requires your factories to accomplish. These increasingly hostile and colonial measures place us in the same position as those previous lovers of freedom and self-determination who had to reject the authorities of distant, uninformed powers.

WHEN IT COMES TO INVESTING IN NEW BUSINESSES, THE TRADITIONAL SYSTEM IS OFTEN NOT THE BEST OPTION. THIS IS BECAUSE TRADITIONAL VENTURE CAPITAL FIRMS ARE BASED IN LARGE CITIES AND TEND TO BE CLOSED OFF TO SMALLER, RURAL COMMUNITIES.
