Post anything, all are welcome. No one can kick your post here. Do what you like. @WiggleHard bans nothing and exiles nobody (Dont doxx wolfballs users, no posting of porn/nudes or foot fetish material unless it involves political scandals, no ads for sex sites or dating sites; do that on your own time, no solicitation for pyramid scams, no posting job advertisements unless from official job sites, no posts supporting pedophilia, not all love is love) also: (we cannot allow violations of the patriot act concerning how we speak, no calls for violence, suggesting you are personally harming someone ect. These things are not free speech protected by law but actually against the law and could get the website shut down.) (no spam posting, especially spam posting of what could be considered symbols of hate) examples: guy posting nazi flag 5 times in one day, guy posting “whitey is the devil over and over, im going to use my best judgement on this one rule)
Honestly, for a guy whose brand was on the verge of death, doing what he did was brilliant.
Oh really -was it about to die?
I think his views are probably quite legitimate - he has, after all, faced such significant backlash for them.
His last couple albums saw sales absolutely collapse compared to his heyday as I recall.
Could be wrong but here’s a list:
“The College Dropout” (2004): 441,000 copies sold in the first week “Late Registration” (2005): 860,000 copies sold in the first week “Graduation” (2007): 957,000 copies sold in the first week “808s & Heartbreak” (2008): 450,000 copies sold in the first week “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy” (2010): 496,000 copies sold in the first week “Yeezus” (2013): 327,000 copies sold in the first week “The Life of Pablo” (2016): 94,000 copies sold in the first week “Ye” (2018): 208,000 equivalent album units sold in the first week “Jesus is King” (2019): 264,000 equivalent album units sold in the first week
The life of Pablo collapse was probably what I was remembering.
I have no doubt that this is also impacted by technology.
Nonetheless, he is one of the most famous musicians, and I imagine the royalties he gets from all the work he has done on other people’s albums is also non-negligible.
